When it comes to guidance, there’s one approach that won’t ever steer you wrong, and that’s listening to your intuition. Your intuition is that inward custom-built inner guidance system we all have inside of us. It helps you navigate and interpret your environment as a sentient being. A real internal GPS that helps you move through this physical life experience.
Your intuition is the purest aspect of Self that feels from a deep place within you. It’s primary function aside from guidance is to help you discern your environment and make decisions that are best for you. Taking care of you first helps you to stay in-tune with your intuition so you can operate at your highest potential, using discernment, common sense as well as critical thinking skills.

Your intuition presents itself (often repeatedly) as a powerful feeling and emotion within you. This feeling is usually positive or negative about a situation, person or environment. Intuition can give you a sense of peace and calm to a feeling of urgency with a need to act quickly. Sometimes you get a series of signs to support those feelings, often referred to as messages. At other times guidance may appear through vivid dreams.
[bctt tweet=”I think of your intuition as giving you the lay of the land, always alerting you BEFOREHAND, never after the fact with the evidence showing up later.” username=””]It’s vital that you pay attention and listen to your intuition. If you don’t, you could end up in an uncomfortable or dangerous situation. Too many times we let our intellect try to determine what it thinks our intuition is saying. Doing this can be a huge mistake. Why? Because you may not be afforded the empirical evidence beforehand to avoid the danger.
We don’t always get that heads-up from those individuals or situations where someone or something isn’t operating with your best interest in mind. Especially when they choose to behave in hurtful or harmful ways towards you, that’s why you need to pay attention to your intuition when you get those warnings. Time tells all truths, but you don’t always have to wait until AFTER the damage has been done to know.
FACTS:
- Not everyone will make deals with your best interest in mind.
- Not every organization, group or person will honor you or your relationship whether professional or personal.
- Not everything is as it appears and certainly, anybody can say anything until they get what they want from you.
So what is a person to do? Listen to their inner guidance and trust it.
There’s a reason intellect and intuition are defined differently, but they’re meant to work and function together in a balanced, and well-rounded capacity. Our intuition is the gateway to the discernment of what’s happening in the physical and non-physical. Make no mistake about it; many things are occurring around you that aren’t visible to the naked eye.
When it comes to things happening around you that you can’t “visibly see” or are aware of, there are lots of examples and range from electricity, radio, and microwaves to stealth technology such as cloaking to spiritual which include higher vibrational consciousness and other forms of advanced intelligence.
My point is this; just because you don’t visibly see something or is aware at the time doesn’t mean it’s not there or happening. And just because someone denies something doesn’t make it so. Again, don’t discount, ignore or downplay your intuition because you “can’t see” at that moment how something is playing out. Make no mistake about it intuition is very real, and it delivers.
One of the things that separate intuition from your “head talk” is that if something is wrong, your intuition will alert you with a feeling that indeed, something is wrong, off or that you need to remove yourself from a situation or environment. It’s very transparent in how it delivers the energy of what’s happening around you. All you need to do is trust it. Trust means just that, not over analyzing it to death or debating why.
And that’s not all. The feeling that something is wrong won’t go away! You won’t be able to shake the feeling no matter how ordinary, or peaceful the environment appears at that time. Don’t ignore those feelings. If you are compelled to take action, follow-up, remove yourself, do what feels comfortable and right for you. If it’s the right thing, you’ll feel a sense of peace and relief. Later you’ll learn why.
What I’ve learned about trusting intuition is that no matter how hard a decision is, when you trust your intuition and act on it, you will feel at peace no matter what. All hell can break loose around you, but you won’t be shaken. You’ll feel good about your decision and sleep through the night just fine, knowing inside that despite how it appears everything will be alright. And guess what? It turns out to be just fine.
The same applies to positive outcomes when listening to your intuition as it guides you to take action. Indeed! It’s not always about doom and gloom. For example, you are worried or concerned about a situation, and the evidence around you doesn’t look so good, and yet, somehow, you feel inner peace. You know that despite how it seems, everything will turn out fine, and it is.
Sometimes you can be directed to take action on something that wasn’t even a thought to learn that you made a fortuitous decision and you benefit greatly by taking action. Yes, your intuition can lead you down roads where doors open, and opportunity resides if you listen and trust it.
How many of us have worried ourselves ragged to end up kicking ourselves later for expending such significant amounts of negative energy for nothing? You know, after a while, that worrying negatively impacts your health in ways that can become hard to reverse. So start learning how to be emotionally flexible and trust your intuition.
I can’t tell you enough about the importance of intuition and how you can’t afford to ignore it. So do yourself a favor, TRUST your intuition, regain your emotional freedom, and live your life more confidently in peace.
